Donations
The Karene O'Hare / Bitsy Whitten Ovarian Cancer Memorial Run and Walk raises money to help underwrite Ovarian Cancer screening, treatment, and educational programs offered by the Lackey Clinic and patients of the Olde Towne Medical Center. Since 2009, over $290,000 has been distributed to help underwrite these Ovarian Cancer programs. In November 2016, we established an Ovarian Cancer Memorial Endowment Fund at the Williamsburg Community Foundation. The endowment fund is a permanent source of donation funds for our mission and enables us to achieve ongoing financial sustainability in our donation efforts to help build, strengthen, and support the significant Ovarian Cancer healthcare that Lackey and Olde Towne provide.
Support, however, can be given just as effectively by making a donation to this cause and becoming a cheerleader. Donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law, and help underwrite the Endowment Fund. Any donation, regardless of size, is greatly appreciated and will make a significant difference in the life of a woman: a mother, a sister, a daughter, or a wife. Cancer, in whatever form it takes, spares no family.
Please consider making a donation.
You can either make a donation online via the RunSignUP website, or mail a check to the Williamsburg Community Foundation.
