The 16th Annual
Hare and Tortoise Ovarian Cancer Memorial Run/Walk
will be held at The Meadows
on ​Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Registration 

Entry Fees
Pre-registration: Through August 25, 2024.
  • $35 8K Gran Prix Run or Competitive Walk or *8K Virtual Run/Walk
  • $40 5K Run/Walk or Competitive Walk or *5K Virtual Run/Walk
  • $20 1-Mile Fun Run
    • *A $9.00 race shirt shipping charge will be added for Virtual Run/Walk participants.

Registration fees will go up by $5.00 after August 27th.
*RunSignUP charges a small signup fee for online registration. Cost depends on registration type.

Teams

Join as a group! 
The team captain must create a group via RunSignUP during the online registration process.

Once a team has been created, members can join during registration, or the team captain can add previously registered members after the fact.
*All team members must compete in the SAME event.

Simply select "Yes" to join or create a Group/Team on the initial registration page.

Awards

Awards in the 8K Run/Walk will go to:
  • the top three overall men
  • the top three overall women
  • the top three in 10-year age groups for men
  • the top three in 10-year age groups for women
    • Age groups: >19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

​Awards in the 8K Competitive Walk will go to:
  • the top three overall men
  • the top three overall women
  • the top three in 10-year age groups for men
  • the top three in 10-year age groups for women
    • Age groups: >19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Awards in the 5K Run/Walk will go to:
  • the top three overall men
  • the top three overall women

Awards in the 5k Competitive Walk will go to:
  • the top three overall men
  • the top three overall women

Post-race refreshments will be provided to all runners, walkers, and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk participants.

Note:
​Virtual Run/Walk awards are not applicable this year.

Virtual Race

Virtual participants can run or walk any 8K or 5K course at their convenience. Virtual rules are simple; register for the race and submit your results by September 30, 2023. Once your time is posted we will provide you with a distinctive and specially designed t-shirt to commemorate your participation. A shipping fee of $9.00 must be paid in advance.​

Race will be held at The Meadows

From Interstate-64: Take exit 242A onto Route 199. Exit Route 199 to merge onto VA-199 W toward Williamsburg/Jamestown. Turn left onto VA-31 S/Jamestown Rd. The Jamestown Settlement Park parking lot will be on your left.

From downtown Williamsburg: From the Information Center follow Colonial National Historical Pkwy, VA-199 W/Humelsine Pkwy W and Jamestown Rd to James City County. Turn right toward S Henry St. Turn left onto S Henry St. Turn right at the first cross street onto VA-199 W/Humelsine Pkwy W. Turn left onto VA-31 S/Jamestown Rd. The Jamestown Settlement Park parking lot will be on your left.
